The summer didn't feel like a summer
any more than any other
I'm feeling better - the weather's calling for sweaters
and I know that it's been hard on my mother
she's been worried about my brother
and my sister when all i can do is miss her
singing here I am
i know the where but i am not sure when
i will be able to understand what it means to be
a brother your love and a friend
with only you and a couple of my friends
i bet that i could be fine for a lifetime
and if i knew i'd have you until the end
right then i couldn't want more
what could i ask for
the summer didn't feel like a summer
it was far more like a month or
two in fall when we're worrying about all the little
stumbles (from) which we've somehow recovered
as i stand here closing shutters
nearing winter and watching for any hint of
the impending snow
not to mention several months of snow
i will be sitting by a closed window
hoping waiting for
the sadness of winter to go
nothing's regretted
i swear, don't sweat it, no
what could be better
than this life together?
